Screen sharing is very useful in being able to view a user's desktop. While it can also be used to support a site 'in a pinch', it is NOT an adequate substitute for a proper VPN. The only viable, long-term solution to support an entire site is a VPN.

Rust Desk is a free screen sharing utility that allows a user to be supported remotely through their own desktop! It is completely secure with end-to-end encryption, requires no installation, and supports a great many operating systems.

Rust Desk has become the leading alternative to the increasingly difficult to use Any Desk, Join Me, Log Me In, and Team Viewer (to name a few). Rust Desk has the further advantages of being completely Open Source and able to use our own Relay Servers!
